Here's the problem with that, if early trends hold true, Dolphin on Android has more users than Dolphin on macOS already and most phones can't even run Dolphin. That means we have to do extra work to support their proprietary API and you do that for Windows with D3D. MacOS is dropping OpenGL support, they already restrict OpenGL to 4.1, which lacks a lot of critical features for performance and accuracy in some cases. ![]() Let's look at the situation for Dolphin, which does support macOS currently. ![]() Apple is actively driving away emulator developers with some of their decision making.
